Kuro Reader was unfairly banned from the Play Store for allegedly using copyrighted content (a book cover) in one of its screenshots in the store (full story here).

We are releasing the app on GitHub using an alternative licensing system for users who have previously purchased the app.

We were able to resubmit both versions of the app to the Play Store using new IDs; as previously mentioned, the apps were unfairly banned for displaying a book cover in the screenshots in the store, so there was no problem with the app itself.

Unfortunately, there is no way to make the alternative app available to those who bought it from the Play Store directly through the store; our attempt to add the alternative licensing version was denied as it was against the store's rules.

We are adding a limited-time discount to the new Play Store version for those who want the convenience of automatic updates through the store. But please note that you DO NOT NEED to purchase the app again to continue using the Pro version, but you won't be able to download it directly from the Play Store.
